Street Fighter 6 makes its return in the Esports World Cup 2025 after being a part of the Inaugural Esports World Cup! It became the 5th announced title of the Esports World Cup 2025 out of the total 25 titles that are to be announced. With Riyadh as its base, EWC plans to expand on the second edition after the huge success of the first edition.
Honor of Kings was the first announced title of EWC2025 on October 29,2024. Later in November, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Call of Duty Warzone and Free Fire were announced simultaneously. On the 3rd Of December 2024, the return of Street Fighter 6 was announced.
Legendary Chinese player Xiao Hai gained 1000 championship points for KuaiShou Gaming and became the SF6 Champion in the previous edition of EWC, obtaining the $300,000 prize pool (3.59 Crore BDT) out of the total $1 Million prize pool.
Bangladesh, doing really well in the SF6 scene with players like SI Anik making multiple leaderboard smashes and having good standing in South Asia in Capcom Pro Tour Roadmaps, has a good chance of making it to the EWC2025 this year if a Qualifier is held officially. No such news has been confirmed yet.
