Valorant dubbed “Esports Game of the Year” at 2024 Esports Awards

The Esports Awards 2024 ceremony, held in Riyadh, celebrated the top achievements in the esports industry, where Valorant was crowned as the best Esports title. Additionally, Malr1ne from Team Falcons was recognized as the Esports Breakthrough Player of 2024, with Rivers_gg winning the award for Best Streamer. Additionally, S8UL Esports won the Esports Content Group of the Year award, and scump was named Esports Personality of the Year.

The Awards ceremony was streamed live on the official Twitch, YouTube, and Kick channels of the award show, with a peak viewer count of 92.3K PV. Alongside the official livestreams, several community casters, including 8bit Goldy, S8UL, and scump, also broadcast the ceremony, with 8bit Goldy's channel reaching the highest viewer count, attracting 43.2K PV.

In comparison to that of the previous year, the Esports Awards ceremony was less in popularity, with fewer watch-hours and lower average viewer count. The 2023 edition achieved 362,500 hours watched and reached a peak of 95,400 concurrent viewers. The event was broadcast on a total of 19 different channels across Twitch, YouTube, and Kick.
