Football star Neymar Jr. recently lent a rare CS2 Case Hardened (Minimal Wear) pattern #661 AK-47 skin to FURIA's Yurih "yuurih" Boian to use at IEM Cologne 2024.

Neymar purchased the skin in April of this year along with two more items, with the total value of the deal being an eye watering 110,000 USD. At the time of the purchase, the AK was worth 60,000 USD.

Wielding the AK equipped with Neymar's skin, yuurih spearheaded FURIA during the play-in phase. So far, he stands at an averaged 1.19 HLTV rating, making this his second-best LAN performance so far this year. Though the squad lost to Liquid, they managed to qualify for the main event. Their playoff opponent has yet to be decided.

It's a fairly common trend for pro-players to borrow wildly expensive skins to use in upcoming tournaments. Team Spirit's prodigy Danil "donk" Kryshkovets previously asked various traders to lend him a skin for an upcoming tournament. In February, the owner of the now most expensive weapon in history, which was also a blue gem AK, offered donk to play with the weapon at Copenhagen Major. However, the skin never appeared in the tournament.
