According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, the company is currently in the process of cooking up multiple Assassins Creed remakes. In an interview published on the company’s website, Guillemot talked about the future of Ubisoft's video game portfolio, especially the fate of the Assassin's Creed series.

When asked about what the future holds in store, Guillemot said, “Players can be excited about some remakes, which will allow us to revisit some of the games we've created in the past and modernise them.”

He further expanded, “There will be plenty of experience variety. The goal is to have Assassin's Creed games come out more regularly, but not for it to be the same experience every year.”

While Ubisoft has never released a full-on Assassin’s Creed remake before, one running contender has been the 18th-century pirate fantasy piece, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Kotaku reported about a year ago that Ubisoft Singapore was heavily involved in developing the revamped release of the fourth mainline AC game. And while the original game remains a fab-favourite, Ubisoft hasn't shared any official announcements regarding a remake yet.

Assassins Creed: Shadows is slated to be the newest addition to the franchise, with a release date set for November 2024. A unique entry titled Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe is also in the works, with hardly any details being released since it was unveiled in 2022. Guillemot said, however, that Hexe will be a “very different game from Assassin's Creed Shadows” that will hopefully surprise people.
