One of the world's most popular mobile games, Clash of Clans, has unveiled a surprise new character. In a collaboration almost no one saw coming, Manchester City footballer and star striker Erling Haaland will become the game’s playable Barbarian king.
From May 01 onwards, players will be able to play as the Norwegian and partake in myriad football-themed challenges and adventures within the game. Alongside Haaland's character, players can expect many other football-esque features, including special troop characters and medal events. Interestingly enough, Haaland, a long-time fan of the game himself, has crafted his own in-game village, which gamers can try to conquer.
Haaland's character is the first in the game’s history to be based on a real person.
