The officials at Counter-Strike tournament series Champions of Champions Tour (CCT) has released further information regarding the upcoming Global Finals.

Featuring four groups of four teams and a single elimination format and taking place on 16th to 23rd May, all of the matches will be best-of-three, with the grand finals being a best-of-five match. Created by esports data company GRID along with several renowned partners such as FACEIT, Eden Esports, Relog Media, and Black Molly Entertainment, CCT is a new esports tournament circuit with its first season set to conclude this May with a prize pool of $500,000.

Furthermore, CCT have teamed up with DAZN, a sports subscription service where, for the first time, CCT’s international Counter Strike tournaments will be broadcasted alongside mainstream sports such as football, boxing and Formula 1,among others.

The event’s organizers have stated that, between May 16th and May 20th, four matches will be held per day, with the knockout stage taking place between 21st and 23rd of May, the day of the grand final. Though the event was originally expected to end on 24th of May, the timing was changed to allocate enough time for teams to travel to other events.

In terms of the allocation of the teams in groups, Group A will include PARMSION, Eternal Fire, SAW and Aurora, while Group B to have GamerLegion, Gaimin Gladiators, Fnatic and ENCE. Rounding out the other groups are Team Liquid, OG, AMKAL and PaiN for Group C, with the last group consisting of MIBR, BIG, BetBoom and Astralis. Despite the finals yet to be taking place, CCT has already announced its return with season two set to be taking place across 2024 and 2025 with a total prizepool of $1.5 million.
