Esports, a billion-dollar global industry, is witnessing exponential growth and is now recognized as an official sport. In South Asia, Bangladesh stands out as a promising market with untapped potential to lead in this rapidly evolving ecosystem. A fully functional esports ecosystem requires collaboration among publishers, organizers, facilitators, and esports teams.

In presence of M Rashidul Hasan, President, BASIS and other executive committee members, the MoU was officially signed by Biplob Ghosh Rahul, Director, BASIS and Mohammad Aliur Rahman widely known as “The Esports Professor”, Founder & CEO of Zenetic Esports and LEVEL7 and Md. Rashid Uz Zaman, Co-founder of Zenetic Esports.

Recognizing the intersection of esports and technology, Zenetic Esports and LEVEL7, Bangladesh's leading esports management and production venture, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BASIS Student Forum is stepping up to play a transformative role in this sector. The partnership focuses on fostering esports and game education in Bangladesh, aiming to equip the youth with STEM-based skills in areas such as esports production, management, game development, and data analysis.

As part of this initiative, Zenetic Esports is collaborating with the BASIS Student’s Forum to launch the Campus Edition of their acclaimed esports and game education workshop, Inside Esports Bangladesh – A Global Phenomenon. This program will be conducted at universities during its inaugural season, bringing esports and game education directly to students.

Although the esports market in Bangladesh holds vast potential, a significant skills gap persists, as the industry predominantly focuses on players rather than support roles. Zenetic Esports, which has been active since 2020, has made substantial contributions to the sector, including exporting services across South Asia.

This MoU marks their first significant step into esports and game education, a field explored by Mohammad Aliur Rahman AKA The Esports Professor himself in 2020. Known for his behind-the-scenes contributions to the industry, this event also marked a rare public appearance by Mohammad Aliur Rahman, who unveiled his vision for the future of esports and game education in Bangladesh to train skilled manpower for the next generation by empowering the students to lead the Bangladesh Esports and Gaming Industry and participate in the global market as well.

This collaboration positions Bangladesh to not only harness the local esports market but also develop skilled professionals who can make a mark on the global stage.
