Zenetic Esports’ “Inside Esports Bangladesh” workshop begins, attended by Youth, Sports, ICT ministry secretaries

Inside Esports Bangladesh, Zenetic Esports’ premier Esports education and youth development workshop, kicked off on January 14 at the premises of American International University - Bangladesh (AIUB). The day-long event was inaugurated at 10:00 AM and drew its curtains at 7:00 PM.

Highlights of the event included a segment by keynote speaker Mohammad Aliur Rahman (Sohan), founder and CEO of LEVEL7 and Zenetic Esports, popularly known as the "Esports Professor" of Bangladesh. He delivered an insightful discussion on Esports' growing and multifaceted potential, career opportunities, and the overall ecosystem. Md. Rashid Uz Zaman, co-founder and COO of Zenetic Esports, followed suit with a thorough breakdown of the Esports market, its role in youth development, and its alignment with sportsmanship principles.

There was also a star-studded cast of guest speakers, namely Md. Rejaul Maksud Jahadi, Secretary of the Ministry of Youth & Sports, Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, VC, AIUB, Major (retd.) Imran Ahmed, Search Committee Member of the Ministry of Youth & Sports, and Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Jobayed Hossain, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Youth & Sports.

The end of the event contained a massive announcement, as Zenetic’s CEO Mohammad Aliur Rahman presented a memorandum to the honourable Secretaries urging for the official recognition of Esports as a sport in Bangladesh. The Secretaries assured a positive response soon, which, if true, would go a long way in boosting the national gaming and Esports industry. More to follow soon.
