A relatively new professional esports organisation based in Serbia, Aurora Gaming earned 1st place, and a whopping 105,000 USD at the Skyesports Masters 2024. The grand finale of the tournament pitted them against OG, a Danish esports organisation originally founded by prominent Dota 2 player Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, whom they soundly defeated with a score of 3 wins in a best out of 5 matchup.
Aurora Gaming dominated the first map Anubis and laid a solid foundation to build momentum on. Even though the second map narrowly went to OG, Aurora regained their composure and took the title home by clinching both the following rounds.
The Skyesports Masters is the first ever esports league in India that features CS:GO. It has been organised by Skyesports, a prominent Indian esports team and tournament organiser founded in 2018, since 2023. The Skyesports Masters 2024 is the second tournament held in the league so far. The tournament was held as an online affair from April 8 to 14 between some of the most prominent teams in Europe today, with a total prize pool of $350,000 and a champion’s prize of $105,000.
