The cyber criminal investigation team of the northern
part of the Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency have come forward
stating that they have arrested two staff members from
Luminous Solar’s Overwatch team, Director Jin Seok-hoon and
coach Paik Min on charges of obstruction of business.

Inven reported on Sunday
, the player manager and coach of
Luminous Solar have been booked without detention in South
Korea by the Gyeonggi Bukbu Provincial Police Agency Cyber
Bureau after Luminous had attempted to qualify for the OGN
Overwatch APEX Challenger Season 2 via match fixing

The arrests result from an ongoing investigation that has been
in progress since last February when the match-fixing allegedly
occurred. OGN had already done their own internal investigation
and issued lifetime bans in February.

In OGN’s report, it was revealed that there was
enough circumstantial evidence that pointed to Luminous
Solar’s player-manager Jin Seok-hoon and coach Baek Min-jeh
offering cash considerations to UnLimited for forfeiting
the match. On top of the bribery charge, it was also uncovered
that two individuals had used a forged doctor’s certificate in
order to request a last-minute substitute for one of
Luminous Solar’s players.

OGN the issued a lifetime ban to the Luminous Solar
organization for all future OGN events including Jin Seok-hoon
and Baek Min-jeh. One of the players from UnLimited , Choi
Yoon-soo, was also banned from participation next season for
the OGN Overwatch APEX Challenger, because of collusion with
Luminous Solar.
